Pork prices in Latvia 19.8% lower in May

Pork prices in Latvia this past May were on the average 19.8 percent lower than in April 2019 or EUR 152.2 per 100 kilograms, writes LETA, according to data from the Agriculture Ministry's Market and Direct Support Department.
In a year, pork prices dropped by 18.8 percent on average.
Across the European Union, pork prices in May were on the average 10.2 percent lower than in April 2019 - to EUR 162.3 per 100 kilograms.
Pork prices in Lithuania were EUR 149.5 per 100 kilograms or by 4.6 percent lower than in April, while Estonia reported a 8.3 percent rise to EUR 169.9 per 100 kilograms.
