BC, Tallinn, 31.03.2020.Print version
The Government Office has entered into an agreement with the Estonian company Esfil Tehno for the weekly production of 50,000 FFP3 respirators for six months from mid-April, the factory is also making preparations for doubling its production capacity to 100,000 masks per week, informed LETA/BNS.

Prime Minister Juri Ratas, who is in charge of the emergency situation and contacted the Sillamae-based certified producer of FFP3 masks, said that he is glad that such an important partner was found in Estonia.

"I am extremely grateful that the entrepreneurs were ready to immediately launch negotiations and are prepared to double their production to assist the state."

Ratas noted that the number of masks ordered from Esfil Tehno will substantially alleviate healthcare institutions' shortages.

"I would also like to thank all other entrepreneurs who have informed the state of their willingness to lend a hand," he said.

Esfil Tehno AS is cooperating with the Unemployment Insurance Fund to find the workforce required for doubling production capacity. The agreement between the company and the Government Office was negotiated with the assistance of the State Shared Service Center.

The six-month agreement is worth up to ten million euros and involves three parties -- Esfil Tehno AS as the producer, Copowear OU as the organizer of logistics and the Government Office as the representative of the state. The contract will be extended if necessary.
