Lithuanian producers show signs of concern over supplies from China
BC, Vilnius, 30.01.2020.Print version
The coronavirus outbreak is starting to cause concern for some Lithuanian manufacturers that import components from China because they will have difficulty promptly finding other suppliers if the supply chain is disrupted, according the Verslo Zinios informed LETA/BNS.
"We are buying a lot from China and we are really worried," Zilvinas Dubosas, the CEO of Lithuania's bicycle manufacturer Baltik Vairas, told the paper.
Mindaugas Reinikis, the president of the Lithuania-China Forum, says, however, that there is no reason to worry as yet and that supplies can be seriously disrupted only if partners' factories are located in the most severely hit areas of China.
