Abrama to step down as Competition Council head in April

Skaidrite Abrama will step down as the Competition Council head in April, Economics Minister Ralfs Nemiro (KPV LV) said LETA.
Abrama will leave the post on her own volition as op April 15. The minister said that Abrama's decision was unexpected, but he will accept that.
"I was surprised because we had good cooperation, we could discuss different topics," the minister said, wishing Abrama to have a good rest and success in her further career.
According to the minister, the Economics Ministry will soon announce a tender for the position of the Competition Council head. The selected candidate has to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Abrama has been in the position since June 2012. She was approved for a second term in the office in 2017.
