Vilnius bourse suspends trading in Grigeo shares
BC, Vilnius, 07.01.2020.Print version
The Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange on Tuesday suspended trading in paper producers Grigeo's shares amid reports that cardboard producer Grigeo Klaipeda has allegedly polluted the Curonian Lagoon with untreated wastewater, informed LETA/BNS.
"The trading is suspended due to publicly announced material information by third parties," the statement says, adding that notice on trading resumption will follow by a separate decision of Nasdaq Vilnius.
It was reported earlier in the day that Lithuanian prosecutors had launched an investigation into allegations that Grigeo Klaipeda was releasing untreated wastewater into the Curonian Lagoon.
Specialists from the Environmental Protection Department immediately ordered the company to halt the ongoing pollution.
Grigeo is quoted on the Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange's Main List.
