"The National Geological Service is about to relocate to Rakvere, the
Private Forest Center to Rapla, one unit of Enterprise Estonia to Parnu,"
Aab told the evening news of ETV public television Tuesday night.
In addition, Statistics Estonia is set to relocate 50 jobs and the Tax and
Customs Board another as many.
Aab said that at the Cabinet sitting earlier on the day ministers contended
that the plan should be more ambitious still. "I was tasked with coming up
with concrete proposals again already in October," he said.
Aab said the aim was to move jobs to county centers smaller than Tartu or
Parnu.
The plan to relocate a number of government jobs to county capitals was
agreed by the government in spring, the minister added.
Aab declined to be specific when asked about the estimated positive or
negative financial impact of the relocation.
