Estonian research company Rait buys GfK's Baltic operations

Estonian research company Rait is to buy the Baltic operations of German GfK which is to continue its operations under the name of Rait, informs LETA/BNS.

After the deal has taken effect the new name of IA GfK Custom Research Baltic will be SIA Rait Custom Research Baltic and the company is to continue with its present operations. The deal does not concern the enterprises of GfK Retail and Technology, Rait said.

 

"The merged companies will make up a strong service provider in the Baltic countries that has more than 40 employees, and three top-notch offices in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius," the CEO of Rait, Kaspar Janes, said in a press release. Janes did not want to disclose the price of the deal to BNS due to an agreement between sides.

 

In the future Rait is the official partner of GfK in the Baltic countries. Mara Taurina is to continue as the CEO of SIA Rait Custom Research Baltic.

 

The 2016 revenue of SIA GfK Custom Research Baltic was 1.2 million euros and profit 39,600 euros.
