Dargis, Nauseda, Mockus top ranking of Lithuania's most influential business figures

Robertas Dargis, president of the Lithuanian Industrialists' Confederation, Gitanas Nauseda, adviser to SEB Bankas' president, and Darius Mockus, president of MG Baltic, one of Lithuania's biggest business groups, top the list of the country's most influential business people, economists and company executives, Delfi.lt reported, citing the results of two separate surveys commissioned by the news portal, cites LETA/BNS.

The Reitingai magazine's survey of the country's elite places Arvydas Avulis, the founder and CEO of the property development group Hanner, at number four, followed by Raimondas Kuodis, an economist and deputy chairman of the central bank's board, in fifth place.

 

The top-ten list also includes Nerijus Numavicius, the majority shareholder of the Vilniaus Prekyba Group, Swedbank Lithuania's chief economist Nerijus Maciulis, Biotechpharma Chairman Vladas Algirdas Bumelis, Danas Arlauskas, head of the Lithuanian Business Employers' Confederation, and GetJar founder Ilja Laurs.

 

Avulis is also ranked fourth in a representative survey of the general public, followed by Jolanta Blazyte, chairwoman of the Vikonda Group.

 

Further down the list are Mantas Bartuska, CEO of Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways), Lyda Lubiene, the majority shareholder of Achemos Grupe (Achema Group), Antanas Bosas, CEO of Vakaru Lietuvos Pramones ir Finansu Korporacija (West Lithuanian Industry and Finance Corporation), Maciulis and Numavicius.

 

The Reitingai magazine's survey involved interviews of 779 politicians, business people, economists, public servants and other people conducted between May 11 and June 7.

 

Some 1,009 people aged between 18 and 75 years were polled in the representative survey carried out by the pollster Spinter Tyrimai between July 17 and 23.
