Three companies win EUR 3 mln tender for advertising Latvian dairy products

n alliance of three companies has won a EUR 3 million tender for advertising Latvian dairy products in China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Israel over the next three years, the Latvian Central Dairy Association (LPCS) said LETA.

LPCS head Janis Solks said that the tender announced on December 21, 2016, had ended today, and an alliance of three companies had been named as the winner. The alliance comprises Reklamas Agentura Bulterjers with experience in marketing and communication, Latvia Tours with experience in organization of business trips for corporate customers and ex2 which has experts with experience in management of the EU funds and food sales promotion.


The alliance was the only eligible bidder in the tender.


Investments in the three-year advertising campaign for Latvian dairy products total EUR 3,109,980, of which 80% will come out of the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and the rest will be co-financing from the companies that are LPCS members.


The contract is for development of communication strategy and organization of promotion events for Latvian dairy products in the target export markets - China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Israel.


The Latvian Rural Support Service will be responsible for administration of the project.


LPCS unites more than ten dairy farms and dairy companies, and its members purchase and process more than 80% of total milk output in Latvia. LPCS members include leading Latvian dairy companies, such as Food Union, Tukuma Piens, Smiltenes Piens, Cesvaines Piens, Talsu Piensaimnieks and others.
