Kesko receives permission to acquire Azur shopping mall in Riga

The Competition Council has granted permission to the Finnish corporation Kesko Oyj to acquire decisive influence in the Lithuanian company Sestoji Projekto Bendrove, which in turn will acquire decisive influence in MD Galerija Azur, the Competition Council told LETA.

The Competition Council has concluded that the acquisition deals will not impair competition.


MD Galerija Azur is the company that rents out premises at the Atrium Azur shopping mall.

 

According to the Competition Council's conclusions, the acquisitions will not change the market structure or impair competition in Riga, and not result in the creation of a dominant undertaking.


According to Firmas.lv, MD Galerija Azur was registered in 2002. The company's share capital is EUR 11,858, it belongs to the Cyprus-registered MD CE Holding Limited.


MD Galerija Azur closed 2015 with EUR 2,796,407 in turnover and EUR 2,727,592 in profit.
