Lithuania’s per capita meat output highest in Baltics

Lithuania produces more meat per capita than the other two Baltic countries, data from Statistics Lithuania showed on June 22nd, cites LETA/BNS.

Lithuania's per capita meat production rose by 6 kilograms last year compared with 2014 to 83 kilograms of carcass weight, including 29 kilograms of pork (unchanged y/y).

 

This compares with Estonia's per capita meat production of 64 kilograms, and Latvia's 43 kilograms.

 

Per capita milk production in Lithuania last year fell by 14 kilograms to 598 kilograms and egg production decreased by 4 units to 271 units.

 

In Latvia, per capita milk production was 495 kilograms and in Estonia, 596 kilograms. Per capita egg production was 353 units in Latvia and 155 units in Estonia.
