LMT and Lattelecom post higher turnover, EBITDA than by neighbors

The combined earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of Latvian telecommunications operators Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) and s was EUR 31.8 million in the first quarter of 2016, which is more than the consolidated telecommunications companies in Estonia and Lithuania, Telia Eesti and Teo LT/Omnitel, posted in EBIDTA in January-March, reports LETA.

The two Latvian companies' combined turnover – EUR 91 million – was also higher than the turnovers of the Estonian companies.

 

Eesti Telekom posted EUR 19.7 million in EBITDA and EUR 70.1 million in profit in the first quarter.

 

On the other hand, Teo LT/Omnitel posted EUR 30.1 million in EBITDA and EUR 83.8 million in turnover.

 

As reported, LMT closed the first quarter with EBITDA of EUR 14.5 million and turnover at EUR 44.2 million, while Lattelecom generated EUR 17.3 million in EBITDA and EUR 46.8 million in turnover.
