Latvian Ambassador to Germany Elita Kuzma in her opening remarks underlined Latvia’s continuous efforts to improve investment environment. Investors appreciate those efforts as demonstrated by stable growth of foreign direct investment in Latvia in recent years, she said, adding that strengthening economic growth and attracting investments would be priorities also for the new Latvian government.

The new government also plans to complete the work towards accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), to carry out reforms in the labor market and to continue cooperation with Germany in the education and dual education system projects, Kuzma said.

Representatives of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency gave a presentation for German business people about the latest economic trends in Latvia and potential investment projects.
