Health care sector to be allocated EUR 760.6 mln in 2016 in Latvia

Print versionFinancing for the health care sector in Latvia in 2016 will reach EUR 760.6 million, which is EUR 8.6 million more than the previous year, Health Ministry spokeswoman Agnese Gusarova told LETA.

Even though the Health Ministry requested an additional EUR 12 million for various initiatives, the ministry will get EUR 8.6 million in additional financing from the budget next year.
Approximately 4.2 million euros provided for improvements in the treatment of patients with hepatitis C and HIV / AIDS.
