Ex-President Ulmanis appointed new CEO at Dinamo Riga

Ex-President Guntis Ulmanis has been appointed new chairman of the board at the joint-stock company Dinamo Riga, the owner of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club Riga "Dinamo", reports LETA.

Ulmanis previously was member of the company's council, this post will now go to ex-politician Edgars Zalans.

 

The Dinamo Riga shareholders also analyzed the club's performance at the KHL season thus far, and agreed that it was satisfactory.

 

As reported, the previous Dinamo Riga CEO Aigars Kalvitis resigned at the beginning of September to take the job of the joint-stock company Lavijas Gaze CEO.

 

Kalvitis had been Dinamo Riga CEO since November 2010.

 

According to Firmas.lv, Dinamo Riga's losses increased more than twofold in 2014.

 

The company's losses totaled EUR 1.69 million last year, compared to EUR 712,912 in 2013. Dinamo Riga's turnover amounted to EUR 12.97 million last year, 19% up from 2013.

 

The joint-stock company Dinamo Riga was established in 2008. The company's share capital is EUR 2,916,522. Itera International Energy LLC is the largest shareholder in the company. The company's other shareholders are Juris Savickis, Ulmanis, Kalvitis, Guntis Ravis, Aldis Paunins, and Krists Freibergs.
