The Estonian health system has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and we are happy to share our best practices and experiences with our development cooperation partner countries," the Minister added.

The parties signed a cooperation agreement on 13 February 2014, in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau. According to the action plan signed, the ministries of the two countries will develop cooperation in the health and medical sciences sphere and share the experiences in the organization of health services, health financing, the development of e-health, drug policy development, communicable and other diseases surveillance and control.

Also study visits and training courses are organised and joint research projects are developed. The Action Plan envisages activities for this year and next.
