Brivais vilnis turns over EUR 2.144 mln in Q1

Print versionThe Latvian fish processing company Brivais vilnis turned over EUR 2.144 million in the first quarter of 2015, reports LETA, according to the company's financial report submitted to Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

This is slightly less than in the respective period last year, when the company turned over EUR 2.281 million.
In the first quarter this year, Brivais vilnis earned EUR 47,521. In the first quarter last year, the company's profit was EUR 95,156 (almost twofold increase).
In the first quarter of 2015, the company produced a total of 4.9 million cans of various types of fish products, including 2.3 million cans of sprat. 3.8 million cans were sold for EUR 2.1 million.
As reported, as of May, Brivais vilnis has temporary halted its production in order to carry out maintenance works at the factory. The company is to resume production in August.
Until then, more than 400 employees will be without a job until production is resumed.
