The Lithuanian deputy minister emphasised that Lithuania is ready to engage in detailed and concrete consultations with Ukrainian colleagues over integration to the European Union, so that mistakes once made by Lithuania due to inexperience are avoided.

Ukraine's agricultural and food sector needs structural changes and immediate reforms, to conform to European norms and standards and get ready for their implementation.

In June 2014, the two countries signed a bilateral Action Plan for 2014-2016. Lithuania intends to export to Ukraine meat, fish and dairy products.
