Latvia to use EUR 6.6 mln to combat shadow economy in 2015

The Finance Ministry in Latvia is planning to use additional funding of EUR 7.228 million in 2015, EUR 6.6 million of which will be used to combat shadow economy, informs LETA.

Such information was included in documents connected with the 2015 state budget, submitted for review during today's government meeting.

 

Additional EUR 55,026 will be used to implement regulations of the new State Revenue Service Law, EUR 175,000 – to inform the society, explain the need for tax payments, and to inform the public about the use of taxpayers' money.

 

Additional EUR 45,233 will be used to represent Latvia's interests in regard to customs and taxes, EUR 235,000 – to ensure work safety requirements, EUR 72,398 – to fund measures aimed at controlling African swine fever, EUR 4,746 – to increase the monthly minimum wage to EUR 360.

 

As reported, EUR 180.053 million will be allotted from the state budget to new policy initiatives, as well as other measures.
