Lithuanian president appoints Rokas Masiulis as new energy minister

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite has appointed a new energy minister, Rokas Masiulis, reports LETA/ELTA.

The president signed a relevant decree on Monday, following the Constitution and Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius' nomination.

 

Masiulis has been working as a CEO of the company Klaipedos Nafta from 2010. The company is responsible for the implementation of the liquefied natural gas terminal project. Previously, Masiulis had worked for international audit and financial services companies.

 

The new minister has a degree in economy from Vilnius University, also holds a BA in international relations and political science.
