Latvian Unity, Sudraba’s party and Harmony close to spending limits for pre-election campaigning

According to calculations by the Corruption Prevention Bureau, Unity, Inguna Sudraba’s party For Latvia From the Heart and Harmony are close to reaching their spending limits for pre-election campaigning, informs LETA.

On September 5, Unity had reached 69% of the spending limit, but according to the latest information, Unity has already reached 93% of the spending limit.

 

Meanwhile, For Latvia From the Heart has spent 90% of the limit, while Harmony has spent 87% of the limit.

 

The Union of Greens and Farmers has reached 69% of the spending limit, while all other parties are below 50% of the limit.

 

The official pre-election campaigning period is from June 7 to October 4. Parties cannot exceed the spending limit of EUR 422,997 on their pre-election campaigns.
