Saeima's Chancellery Director Steins to be released

Citing serious breaches of contract and other shortcomings, including lax security and supervision in the matter of three stolen Saeima Presidium computers, members of the Presidium moved yesterday to have Chancellery Director Maris Steins released, informs LETA.

This according to information from reliable sources.

 

Today's meeting was held behind closed doors, but the subject was "termination of contract."

 

Steins previously had received a low performance rating, and a reprimand in October for negligence in delaying the forward progress of two bills for several months.
