Norway grants Estonian prisons 680,000 euros to fight contagious disease

Norway finances with 680,000 euros the prevention of contagious diseases and strengthening of their treatment system in Estonian prisons, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The main focus of the project "Strengthening of prevention and treatment system of contagious diseases" is on diagnostics and treatment of hepatitis C.

All Estonian prisons participate in the programme that lasts till the end of 2015 and will train prison staff on the subject of contagious diseases, and acquire equipment that help diagnose the disease better.
