The election of Daugavpils mayor got delayed as the Central Election Commission suspended Daugavpils Election Commission's decision to confirm the results of Daugavpils City Elections and ordered the local election commission to go through the scanned ballots once again.

The decision was taken following a complaint filed by the Our Party/Reform Party that had failed to clear the 5% threshold in Daugavpils City Council election by one-hundredth% – the party took 4.99% of the vote.

After vote recount, the Central Election Commission confirmed the Daugavpils City Council election results on June 19.

As reported, Harmony Center took 23.02% of the vote in Daugavpils, 22.79% voted for Latgale Party, 10.25% for the Development Party, 10.18% for the Alternative party, 8.37% for the Social Justice Party/People's Control ticket, 5.86% for Daugavpils My Home, and 5.58% for the Daugavpils Rebirth party.
