Millionaire Zavadskis found dead in his car in Daugavpils

Print versionLatvian millionaire and businessman Eduards Zavadskis has been found dead in his car in Daugavpils, south-eastern Latvia, the Latvian State Police said LETA.

Zavadskis was found dead without any visible signs of injury in his car which was parked in the yard of a house on Saules Street in Daugavpils.
The body was discovered at around 7 a.m.
A criminal proceeding has been opened.
Zavadskis with a 20% stake is the largest shareholder in the Daugavpils-based Ditton Pievadkezu Rupnica quoted on the Secondary List of the Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.
Zavadskis has been included in the list of Latvian millionaires several times because he has holdings in a number of companies and owns seven properties in and around Daugavpils, the second largest city in Latvia after the capital Riga.
