A tender for non-governmental organisations has been announced on the establishment of three centres for integration of foreigners in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, the cities with the highest proportion of foreigners, informs LETA/ELTA.

The project will be financed from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund programming for 2014-2020.

The expected duration of projects is from 3 to 3.5 years. Applications may be submitted by legal persons that have at least one year experience working with foreigners arriving to live in Lithuania.

The integration centres will organise language and civic orientation courses, provide legal and psychological counselling, provide information, consultancy, intermediation, representation and other social assistance services and measures facilitating the inclusion in the labour market of third country nationals who have permits to reside in Lithuania.

The integration centres will provide services to foreigners who have been granted the right to reside in Lithuania, including persons who will be relocated from Italy, Greece, Hungary or third countries due to the migration crisis.
