Pskov court extends Eston Kohver's arrest until September 7

Print versionThe Russian Pskov Oblast Court extended on July 17th 2015 the arrest of Estonian Security Police official Eston Kohver till September 7, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The court also decided that a closed hearing of the Kohver's criminal case will take place on July 27.
So far, Kohver's arrest was in force until August 8.
On Monday, Kohver's case materials were sent from Moscow, the Russian Chief Prosecutor's Office, to Pskov.
According to the court's previous decision, Kohver is in custody at least until August 8.
Kohver was abducted at gunpoint on 5 September last year near the Russian border in Estonia while fulfilling his official duties, by Russian special services and was led across the border to Russia. Kohver was detained in Lefortovo prison in Moscow, being accused of espionage but was brought to Pskov at the beginning of June to stand trial.
