The gluelam board maker Textuur based in the South Estonian town of Karksi-Nuia is installing more than seven million euros' worth of new equipment purchased from the Swedish manufacturer Soderhamn Eriksson which it expects to put into service early next year, informs LETA/BNS.

"We've received another batch of new equipment. The first part will be ready by the end of the year, but we made additional investments," the CEO and majority owner of Textuur Argo Jogi told. All the new machines will be launched together at the end of January, he said.

In his words, the new equipment represents an investment totaling around seven million euros. The company plans to hire 3-4 workers in connection with the new machines.

Soderhamn Eriksson is supplying a Cambio debarking line, band saws, carousel conveyor belts, and Eurosaw and Catech saws to Textuur. The new production line will enable the company to process 75,000 cubic meters of logs per shift annually.

Textuur produces pine gluelam board and birch gluelam for the furniture industry, furniture parts according to orders and sawn timber. Processing waste is used to make wood briquette. The company also supplies Karksi-Nuia with heat.
