Euroapotheca, a Vilniaus Prekyba company that owns one of Lithuania's biggest pharmacy chains, has invested 40,000 euros in its second pharmacy in Ukraine, reported LETA/BNS.

The company said in a press release on Tuesday that the new 120,000-square-meter Euroapotheca had opened for business at the Komod mall in Kiev.

The first Euroapotheca pharmacy was opened in the Ukrainian capital last July.

Euroapotheca this year plans to open two more pharmacies in Ukraine. Laura Bielske, the company's head of communications, told BNS that both of the stores would open in Kiev as well.

Euroapotheca owns 265 pharmacies across Lithuania, as well as retail and wholesale companies in Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Ukraine. The group's companies employ a workforce of around 3,000 people.
