Statistical data of the State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) shows that Lithuanian dairy product export totalled 17,044 tonnes in November 2014 and surpassed the volume of November 2013 by 5.6 times, informs LETA/ELTA.

11,200 tonnes of the exported amount was raw milk, 2,000 tonnes – powdered milk, 1,500 tonnes – cheeses, 877 tonnes – butter, 507 tonnes – canned milk.

In November 2014, Lithuanian milk products were exported to several new countries: 294 tonnes of various milk products were exported to Saudi Arabia, 9 tonnes of curd and butter to South Korea, 6 tonnes of cheeses to Thailand, 250 tonnes of milk sugar to Philippines, 150 tonnes of milk powder to Yemen, 25 tonnes to Malawi, 375 tonnes to Bangladesh, 250 tonnes to Pakistan.
