Baltika increases sales by 13% in November y-o-y

Estonian fashion and retail company Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue from continued operations for November 2014 totalled 5.482 million euros, increasing by 13% compared to the same period last year, the company told the Tallinn stock exchange, cites LETA.

Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for November was 4.983 million euros, increasing 10% compared to the same period last year. Wholesale increased by 68% compared to November in previous year, e-com sales increased by 1%. E-com sales in November last year includes sales of Olympic collection in amount of 47,000 euros, sales of main collection increased by 209%.

 

Retail sales increased in Baltic States by 15%, thereof in Lithuania 22%, in Latvia 19% and in Estonia by 9%. In Russia, retail sales decreased by 18% compared to same period previous year. In local currency sales increased in Russia by 6%.

 

Retail network increased by one store – Bastion store was opened in Estonia, Jõhvi. At the end of November Baltika Group had 126 stores, among which franchise stores – 4 in Russia, 1 in Spain, 2 stores in Belarus and 14 operating stores in Ukraine. Sales area of shops operated by Baltika remained at the level of the same period last year.

 

Sales revenue for 11 months totalled 50.524 million euros, increasing +8% year-on-year. Retail sales revenue was 45.216 million euros (+5% y-o-y), including Baltic states sales growth +9%. Wholesale was 4.742 million euros (+49% y-o-y) and e-com revenues 413,000 euros (+63% y-o-y).

 

In connection with Baltika’s exit from the Ukrainian retail business and selling the company there (agreement was signed on 29 April 2014), the sales revenue of the Ukrainian entity is presented as discontinued operation. Sales announcement presents only the results of continuing operations unless indicated otherwise.
