BC, Riga, 06.11.2014.Print version
SIA Aon Consulting has been registered with the Registry of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia, the company is the Latvian subsidiary of the world’s leading human resource management consulting, risk management, and insurance brokerage company, the Aon Corporation. The consulting company’s paid up share capital is EUR 30,000.

The decision to invest funds and establish in Latvia a new legal entity was taken in October. The new company will offer personnel management consulting services in Latvia, separately from the insurance brokerage business that will still be run by Aon Baltic.

Aon Consulting Chairman of the Board Aigars Milts: “The decision by the Aon Corporation to make the investment is good news for Latvia. Aon considers the Baltic countries, as well as Central and Eastern Europe, to be a region with great potential for the development of business, introducing new products and services. In Western Europe, businessmen attach much more importance to human resource management and risk management matters. Our studies have found that the role of human resource management at companies is also becoming far more prominent in Latvia at the moment, the human resource management budgets have increased at 55% of companies we surveyed. We believe that now is the right time to present the human resource management experience, which Aon has accumulated over a period of many years, to our businessmen.”

Aon Consulting consults its clients on human resource management, offers employee health improvement programmes, and consulting on labour protection. We have already begun to work on the Best Employers Study 2015 that analyses employee satisfaction and involvement trends and will present a total of 19 different indexes for eleven Central and Eastern European countries that show employee satisfaction, involvement and the overall behavioural model – whether they have a positive opinion of their employer, enhance its reputation, are loyal and invest additional effort to help company attain its objectives. We are planning to further develop and expand the operations of Aon Consulting so that companies in Latvia have access to more of what Aon offers in other countries, and establish strategic partnerships with our clients in human resource management and risk management matters.

Aon is world leader in risk management, human resource management consulting, and outsourcing. The company employs 59,000 people working at 500 offices in 120 countries.

Aon does the Best Employers Study on a global scale every year since the beginning of the 1990s. The survey commenced in Central and Eastern Europe in 2001. Only such companies that have been in the market for at least two years and have a staff of at least fifty may participate in the survey.
