Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) turnover reached EUR 123 million in the first three quarters of this year; the company's EBITDA reached EUR 38 million, LMT spokeswoman Elina Lidere informed the business portal Nozare.lv, cites LETA.

LMT managed to improve its efficiency this year by increasing its EBITDA to 31%.

Despite the fact that LMT mobile communications business is improving, the total cash flow is affected by a decrease in fixed interconnection fees.

LMT concluded the third quarter of this year with a record-high number of clients in the company's history – a total of 1,122,091 clients (almost 35,000 clients more than last year).

LMT President Juris Binde says: "LMT continues to be a pioneer in the industry by investing in its network more than other market players. Our clients were the first ones to have the opportunity to use the 4G network in Europe. Now, after investing more than EUR 85 million, the 4G network has already become available to 72% of residents of Latvia."

During the first three quarters of 2013, LMT turned over LVL 93.4 million (EUR 132,896,227).

49% of LMT shares belong to TeliaSonera, 23% – to Lattelecom, 23% – to Latvijas Valsts radio un televizijas centrs, 5% – to the state of Latvia. The company was founded in 1992.
