BC, Vilnius, 15.09.2014.Print version
The telecommunications company Tele2 Lithuania has managed to increase sales of tablet PCs. Compared to 2013, the volume of sales this year has doubled, reports LETA/ELTA.

Tele2 Sales Manager Vaida Pagalyte notes that tablet boom is yet to come to Lithuania. Currently, around 8% of the country's residents own these devices, the number in Latvia stands at 10% and 15% in Estonia.

"With the purpose of pushing tablet PC sales, Tele2 offers not only the most affordable prices but also fast mobile internet. Rising popularity of tablet PCs is related to the growing use of mobile internet, which in the last two years has increased as many as five times in Lithuania," the manager said.

Tele2 3G internet at the moment covers 93.8% of Lithuania's territory. A poll carried out by the market research company RAIT in June showed that Tele2 was the most popular telecommunications operator in Lithuania with a 53.5% share of the country's mobile market.
