Port of Tallinn serviced a record 1.2 mln passengers in July

The number of passengers who used the ports managed by the state-owned Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn) grew to a record 1.264 million in July and a bit over a million of them used the Tallinn-Helsinki route, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Tallinn-Helsinki route was used in July by 1,012,790 passengers, by 13% more than a year ago. Tallinn-Stockholm route passenger number was almost unchanged from last year, at 109,132. While in July last year, 19,537 people used the Tallinn-St Petersburg route, this year the number was over 20,000.

 

Tallink serviced in July 57%, Viking Line 21% and Eckerö Line 15% of all passengers on regular routes. The share of St. Peterline was 1%.

 

Cruise ships brought 121,576 tourists to Tallinn and Saaremaa, by 19,000 less than in July last year.
