By doubling our fleet in Riga, so soon after the base opening, we will create more travel opportunities, more local jobs and hope to stimulate local tourism. With the three new services we now offer a total of 11 international routes. We hope that our new routes and increased capacity on some existing routes will be welcomed by consumers and benefit the tourism and aviation sectors as we bring more low fares to Latvia.”

Chairman of the Board at RIGA International Airport Aldis Mūrnieks said: “We are very grateful to Wizz Air for high appreciation of our mutual cooperation by opening an operating base at Riga Airport that has in such a short period of time resulted in basing a second aircraft.”
