Cesu alus increased turnover by 4% last year; profits up by 81%

Joint-stock brewery and beverage producer Cesu alus achieved EUR 49.60 million in turnover last year, which was four percent more when compared to the previous year, when the company achieved EUR 47.82 million in turnover, informs NOZARE.LV/LETA reffering to Firmas.lv.

The company also increased profits by 81 percent last year - from EUR 1 million in 2012, to EUR 1.81 million in 2013.


According to the company's financial report, Cesu alus was able to improve its financial growth due to the successful development of new products, as well as carefully planning company finances. The company intends to invest last year's profit in development.


Last year, the company sold 79.7 million liters of beverage products, which was 10% more when compared to the previous. The company also increased its beer sales by 3.7% last year, and currently takes 30% of the total beer market in Latvia.


As reported, Cesu alus produces beer, beer cocktails, alcoholic cocktails, ciders, energy drinks, kvass, juices and non-alcoholic beverages.


99% of the company's shares with voting rights belong to the Finnish company Olvi Ooj.
