Gaujas koks turns over EUR 55.74 million in 2013

The wood industry company Gaujas koks turnover reached EUR 55.74 million in 2013, which is 18 percent more than EUR 47.35 million in 2012, informs NOZARE.LV/LETa reffering to information provided by Firmas.lv.

The company's profit has grown by 8 percent - from EUR 3.31 million in 2012 to EUR 4.28 million in 2012.


The company's management report indicates that in 2013, the company sold end-products of 234,843,444 cubic meters in volume, 75,400 of which consisted of planed timber. The company also sold byproducts - wood chips, bark and saw dust - 448,784 cubic meters, 75,390 cubic meters and 448,785 cubic meters respectively.


This year, the company plans to increase its production amount by upgrading its saw log procurement methods.


Gaujas koks basic activity is the production of sawn and processed softwood timber. The company's products are sold in Latvia and other European Union countries.


In 2013, the company ran two production facilities, one of which is located in Gulbene Region (northeastern Latvia) and the other in Jekabpils (southeastern Latvia).


Gaujas koks was founded in 1991 and its share capital is EUR 1.56 million. The company fully belongs to Vitalijs Cmihovs.
