Number of real-estate transactions in Latvia grew by 0.8% in H1

In the first six months of 2014, compared to the same period last year, the number of real-estate transactions in Latvia has increased by 0.8%, informs LETA/Nozare.lv.

About 21,000 real-estate transactions have been registered in Latvia in the past six months, according to the analysis of Land Register data conducted by real estate company Latio.

 

Compared to previous post-crisis years, the rate of growth for transactions has slightly slowed down in almost all real-estate market sectors, Latio indicates.



 

The number of apartment transactions grew by 3.1%, while the number of transactions involving private houses – 14.7%.

 

The number of housing purchases in Riga in the first six months of 2014, was 6.1% higher than in the same period last year.

 

The number of apartment purchases in Riga increased 5.4%, while the number of private house purchases grew 17.3%.
