In April, activity in eurozone private sector reaches highest peak in last 35 months

Print versionPurchasing Managers' Index (PMI) of production and services in the private sector of Eurozone in April 2014, has suddenly reached 54 points, in comparison with 53.1 points in March, the latest data, provided by company Markit, shows, reports RTTNEWS/LETA.

Thus, the index has reached its highest peak since May 2011.
Analysts had previously expected that the index in April would decrease down to 53 points.
PMI index exceeding the 50 point mark, shows evidence of an increase in activity, and it has been above this level for ten months steadily.
Markit also shows that the PMI index in the production field in April, has increased from 53 to 53.3 points.
But in the service sector, it has grown from 52.2 to 53.1 points.
