Volume of freight transported by Latvian rail grew by 7.6% in Q1

Print versionIn the first quarter of 2014, the volume of cargo transported by rail in Latvia totaled 17.04 million tons, a 7.6% increase on the first three months of 2013, reports LETA/Nozare.lv, referring to the Transport Ministry's data.

The volume of transit freight transported through Latvian ports increased 13.9% to 14.02 million tons.
The total volume of transit freight has increased by 10.9% to 14.54 million tons.
