Port of Tallinn serviced 4.1% passengers more in March

The number of passengers who used the ports managed by the state-owned Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn) grew by 4.1% in March 2014 to 673,792, which is a record for the month of March, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

In the first quarter, the passenger number was also a record, 1.8 million, which is by 4.2% more than at the same time last year.

 

Tallink serviced in March 62%, Viking Line 20 and Eckerö Line 17% of all passengers. The share of St. Peterline was 1%.

 

In March, Tallinn-Helsinki route saw 592,659, Tallinn-Stockholm route 76,973 and St peterburg route 4,007 passengers.

 

In the first quarter, 1.56 million passengers travelled to Finland, 213,000 travelled to Sweden and 14,554 cruise tourists arrived in Tallinn.

 

In March, ships visited ports administered by Tallinna Sadam 383 times and in three months 1,059 times.
