Ryanair’s Sales & Marketing Manager Elina Hakkarainen said:

Ryanair is delighted to announce this new route from Riga to Cologne that will commence for the winter 2014/15 schedule on the 28th of October 2014 and offer our Latvian passengers yet another exciting destination in Europe. Latvians now have a choice of 4 German destinations (Bremen, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt) from Riga giving them excellent opportunities for travel between these two countries, weather for business or leisure. This is the first year where Ryanair customers can enjoy a free small second carry-on bag, “quiet flights”, allocated seats and use their personal electronic devices at all stages of their flight, making Ryanair the ideal choice for families and friends looking to get away.

To celebrate this new Riga route, Ryanair is releasing a seat sale at prices starting from just €19.99 for travel in May and June on the Riga-Oslo Rygge route. These special sale seats are available for booking until midnight Monday (14th April) and since seats at these crazy low prices will be snapped up quickly, we urge passengers to book them immediately on Ryanair.com.”
