Eesti Post earns 1.3 mln euros profit in 9 months

Print versionEstonian state-owned logistics and postal company Eesti Post posted a net profit of 1.3 mln euros in the first nine months of this year while the company's business revenue amounted to 39.8 million euros or 9% more than at the same time last year, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The EBITDA was 3.6 mln euros in nine months.
The turnover of letter delivery services, which is one of the biggest sources of turnover, fell by 7% while turnovers of parcel services and e-Arvekeskus billing centre has increased.
The concern's logistics services grew 41% due to the growing popularity of e-commerce and Eesti Post expanding in the Baltic States. The turnover of bills sent via eArvekeskus has increased by 33%.
Last business year, Eesti Post earned a profit of 2.52 mln euros and paid on that 0.4 mln euros of dividends to the state this year. Nearly 31 mln letters and 2 mln parcels were sent via Eesti Post.
