Air Lituanica to launch flights to Amsterdam in July

A newly-established Lithuanian company Air Lituanica will start flights to the Dutch capital Amsterdam on July 8, the data published on the Vilnius Tourism Information Center's web-site says, cites LETA.

The airline company enters the aviation market offering convenient direct flights for passengers travelling to European cities for both business and tourism purposes. Air Lituanica schedules the first flight to Brussels, this way symbolically reminding of the commencing Lithuanian presidency of the European Union.

 

The company will conduct flights in six direct directions. The first flight to Brussels to be launched on June 30 will be carried out six times a week.

 

Since July 8, daily flights will be conducted to Amsterdam, whereas in the nearest future the map of flights will be supplemented with routes to Berlin, Prague, Munich, and Moscow.

 

As reported, the company plans to become a demanded regional carrier which would offer flights to Western Europe, Scandinavian countries and Russia.

 

Air Lituanica will serve flights with Embraer 170 plane.

 

Seeking to ensure the widest possible geography of connecting flights, Air Lituanica will cooperate with major European carriers, and ticket sale will started at the beginning of June, Vilnius Tourism Information Center says.

 

In 2015, Air Lituanica plans to have five aircrafts and to expand up to 13-16 regular routes. The company expects to conduct flights in all directions on a daily basis or several times a week.
