Foreign residents performed 2,300 transactions with real estate, based in Tallinn in 2012, which was 15% more as compared to the year before, as statistics of the Land Service of Estonia shows, writes LETA, referring to the Estonian national broadcasting corporation.

As real estate company 1Partner Kinnisvara Finnish Clients Department's representatives noted, Russian and Finnish citizens are most active real estate purchasers of all foreigners.

Finns regard Tallinn properties as a successful investment object. They mostly seek for dwellings in the Tallinn's Old Town. This kind of real estate would most likely become more expensive; therefore, it could be rented with profit in a course of time, real estate experts said.

A total of 10,064 transactions with real estate were performed in Tallinn in 2012, which was 14.3% as compared to the previous year.
