In PRIMORSK PORT 69 719,2 thou. tn of oil and oil products, i.e. more by +1,9%. or by 1 275,0 thou. tn than in January – November of 2011 were handled. Primorsk Port handles exclusively oil and oil products. Throughout the analysed period 63 944,3 thou. tn of crude oil and 5 774,9 thou. tn of oil products were handled in the Port.

In the SEAPORT of SAINT- PETERSBURG 52 916,3 thou. tn of cargo were handled totally; the change makes -4,1%. or less by -2 263,3 thou. tn than during the corresponding period of 2011.

Volumes of general cargo achieved 35 068,6 thou. tn; the change year-on-year is +4,5% or +1 516,4  thou. tn, including:

Volumes of dry and bulk cargo amounted to 5 014,7 thou. tn, the year-on-year change is -16,5%, or -1 147,6 thou. tn, including:

UST-LUGA PORT handled 42 253,5 thou. tn of cargo; the year-on-year change is +110,5%. or +22 178,0 thou. tn. Oil products, coal constitute and crude oil the largest part of the overall turnover of this Port (27,1%., 34,4%. and 29,3%.  respectively). 

Handling volumes of dry and bulk cargo totalled 15 620,3 thou. tn; the yoy change is +27,3%. or +3 350,7 thou. tn, including

General cargo handling volumes were 2 803,3 thou. tn; the year-on-year change is +29,2%., or +633,0 thou. tn, including:

Handling volumes of liquid cargo were 23 829,7 thou. tn; the year-on-year change is +4,2 times, or  +18 194,1 thou. tn, including

The overall turnover in the PORT of VYSOTSK within the analysed period was 12 362,2 thou. tn; the change makes +2,2% year-on-year. This port handles only two categories of cargo. Oil products constitute the largest share in the overall turnover of the Port, i.e., 75,9%. 9 377,8 thou. tn of oil products were handled throughout the analysed period, i.e. the handling rates decreased by -0,5%. or by -43,5 thou. tn year-on-year. Volumes of coal handling were 2 975,6 thou. tn; the change is +1,3%. or +37,1 thou. tn year-on-year.

The aggregate throughput of sea – born cargo in Klaipėda Port and Būtingės terminal in January – November of 2012 totalled 40,0 million tons, the overall year-on-year change was -4,7% down. 32,2 million tons were handled in Klaipėda Seaport throughout the analysed period, the year-on-year change was -4,4%. or -1,5 million tn, meanwhile Būtingės terminal handled 7,8 million tn, the year-on-year change was -6,2% or -0,5 million tn.

Within the period of January – November of 2012 the handling volumes of agriculture products (+905,6 thou. tn yoy), raw and processed minerals and construction materials (+289,0 thou. tn yoy) and iron ore (+179,2 thou. tn yoy) and) marked an increase comparing with the corresponding period of 2011

The most significant drop down in cargo turnover throughout January – November of 2012 comparing with the corresponding period of 2011 occurred due to decreased handling volumes of bulk natural and chemical fertilizers (-1 834,2 thou. tn yoy), oil products (-913,0 thou. tn yoy) and crude oil (-516,3 thou. tn yoy).

In terms of cargo groups the handling volumes of liquid cargo decreased by 7,2% yoy to 17 118,0 thou. tn (42,8%. of overall Port handling turnover).  Dry and bulk cargo handling volumes decreased by 4,4% yoy, the handling rates of this cargo category were 12 821,5 thou. tn (32,0%. of overall Port handling turnover).

General cargo handling volumes decreased by 0,8%. yoy, the overall turnover in this cargo group was 10 073,1 thou. tn (25,2%. of overall Port handling turnover).

6 755 vessels were reported to call Klaipėda Port and Būtingės terminal throughout the period of January – November of 2012. 78 vessels (-7,1% or less by 6 vessels yoy) moored at Būtingės terminal. 4 510 international vessels (more by 61 vessel or +1,4% year-on-year) and 2 167 domestic ships ( more by 40  ships or 1,9%. yoy) were reported to call Klaipėda Port. Throughout the foregoing period of the current year 6 677 vessels were reported to call the Seaport of Klaipėda, hence the number of vessels calling Klaipeda Port increased by 101 vessel or by +1,5%. comparing with the corresponding period of 2011. The number of passengers calling the Port throughout the analysed period was 18 162, i.e. more by 6,0%. or by 18 162 passengers comparing with the corresponding period of 2011.

The total throughput in TALLINN PORT was 27 050 thou. tn; the change is -19,3% or -6 455,3 thou. tn year-on-year.

Volumes of handled liquid cargo throughout the analysed period were 17 579,8 thou. tn; the change is  -27,4%, or -6 642,5 thou. tn year-on-year, including

Passenger traffic. This year the Joint Port of Tallinn rendered services to 8 145,9 thou. passengers; the change is +4,3% year-on-year, or +337,2 thou. passengers.

Vessels. 6 688 vessels were reported to call the Port of Tallinn, i.e. more by 27 vessels or by 0,4%. comparing with the corresponding period of 2011.

The aggregate throughput of RIGA PORT totalled 33 115,2 thou. tn; the change is +6,9% year-on-year or +2 148,6 thou. tn. Growing handling rates of coal (increased by +12,9%. or +1 557,2 thou. tn yoy to 13 614,0 thou. tn) and containers (increased by +15,6%. or by +450,2 thou. tn yoy to 3 344,8 thou. tn) made the greatest impact on the increased overall turnover in the Port.

Throughout analysed period of 2012 coal and oil products constituted the largest share in the overall handling volumes in this Port (41,1%. and 21,4%. respectively).

Passenger traffic. The Freeport of Riga received 760 089 passengers; the year-on-year change is +5,4%. or +38 827 passengers.

The SEAPORT OF VENTSPILS marked an increase by +8,6%. or +2 224,0 thou. tn. year-on-year in overall turnover, which altogether totalled 28 153,0 thou. tn. Throughout January - November of 2012 the most rapid growth was achieved in  handling of oil products, which amounted to 15 021 thou. tn; the year-on-year change is +12,9%. or +1 719,0 thou. tn. The throughput of coal handling was 7 323,0 thou. tn with year –on year change +23,8%. or +1 392,0 thou. tn.

Oil products and coal constitute the largest part of cargo handling in this port (53,4%. and 25,7%. respectively).

Passenger traffic. 55 491 was the number of passengers calling the Port of Ventspils; the year-on-year change is +15,3%. or +7 376 passengers.

Vessels. In total the Port rendered services to 1 653 vessels; the year-on-year change is -2,2%, or -37 vessels.

The total throughput in the PORT of LIEPAJA reached 6 714,6 thou. tn; the year-on-year change is +50,7%. or +2 257,9 thou. tn. Grain handling cut out the largest share of handling volumes of this port (39,2%.). The overall turnover of grain handling in January-November of 2012 increased by +104,7%. or by +1 346,4 thou. tn year-on-year to 2 631,8 thou. tn.
