In 10 months, air passenger flow in Lithuania grew by fifth

Print versionAccording to preliminary data, in the period from January to October of the year 2012, the flow of airport passengers in Lithuania increased by 20.7%, compared year-on-year: in total, 2.7 million passengers arriving to and departing from Lithuanian airports were recorded.

The majority of passengers left for/came from the United Kingdom (22.6%), Germany (10.9%), Latvia (6.9%), Denmark (5.9%) and Ireland (5.8%), informs LETA/ELTA.
Compared to the first 10 months of 2011, the number of passengers arriving from and departing to the UK increased by 37.3%.
From January to October 2012, a total of 11,600 tonnes of cargo and mail were loaded and unloaded in Lithuanian airports, a 7.2% increase year-on-year.
