Vilnius – first European city to provide tourists with tablet PCs
GooGPS PCs have an integrated city map and navigation which can create tour routes both for walking and driving tourists.
The device contains the mobile Internet which is free of charge and can be used by a tourist for checking their e-mail, using social networks, getting information on the events organized in Vilnius, using Skype program, ordering a taxi or just playing a computer game or reading a book.
The tablets can be rented in most of the hotels in Vilnius. From the 6th of August Vilnius Tourist Information Centers are going to join the network. GooGPS device is useful not only for learning about the city but also for those tourists who enjoy using non-limited Internet all the time and by the means of which are able to communicate with their friends. Hopefully, it will be one of the most interesting offers for tourists and will gain popularity not only among Lithuanians but also among city's foreign guests.
Vilnius has already introduced a couple of tourism novelties to the fans of modern technologies, such as tourism application, audio-guide for mp3 players and electro-roller rental service. GooGPS devices will swell the ranks of the innovative services and become excellent facilitators for a modern person during his/her travelling.
GooGPS devices are rented out in Vilnius' Tourist Information Centres, please contact for the service at +370 5 262 9660. The renting fee for the device is 35 LT per 24 hours, a deposit is to be left when the device is rented and a personal identification document will be required.
