Tallink sees passenger number increase by 2% in Q2

Print versionIn the second quarter of the 2012 financial year (April-June), Estonia’s largest passenger shipping company AS Tallink Grupp transported 2,376,516 passengers which is nearly a 2% increase compared to the previous year.

The number of passenger vehicles increased over 4% to 293,267 and the number of trucks and trailers decreased more than 5% to 72,014 units in same comparison, writes LETA.
In June 2012 AS Tallink Grupp transported 894,282 passengers, which is nearly a 1% decrease compared to June 2011.
The number of passengers on the Finland-Sweden route fell by 6.6% in June and 2.8% in the second quarter. On the Estonia-Finland route the number of passengers grew by 6.9% in June and 7.2% in the second quarter. On the Estonia-Sweden route it grew by 3.1% in June and 1% in the second quarter. The number of passengers on the Latvia-Sweden route fell by 3% in June and grew by 2.3% in the second quarter.
